I'm running out of Ideas..

I guess, my glitter polish would look better If I apply it on top of a black nail polish..

I'll do it next time :))

Nails For The Week: Ombre Nails

I named this as....

The Valley of Happiness ☺

LOL! :)

After painting my nails, I just noticed that they look like a valley because of the Sky Blue and Green colors I used :)). It wasn't my intention to do it that way. I was thinking at first which color would be on the bottom part of my nails, and then I decided to layer colors like this.

I was really so happy after seeing the final result! There is just something on my nails that really made my mood that night so blooming that I almost felt kilig or stuff like that. I'm not overacting noh!. :)

It also makes me wanna sing too.♫♪♫   I suddenly remember my childhood days, and those nursery songs I used to play on our cassette player.

"You are my sunshine, my online sunshine, you make me happy when skies are gray..."

I do believe that color really plays important role in our life and changes the mood of one's person. And yes! It is so much fun to play, experiment, and be creative with colors, like the way I did with my nail polish. :))

Nails For The Week: Newspaper Nail Art

Newspaper has lots of function.. It can be use as gift wrapper, covers, placemat, for school project purposes, etc... And now, It is also a bright idea to use our old newspaper on our NAILS!! Why not??

Here's my example:

For the things I used:

As you can see, I didn't use a newspaper, instead I used my old song book (the texture of this and a newspaper is the same, anyway). You can also use magazine, pocketbooks, etc.

Use any kind of alcohol (except beers) which has a 70% Solutiona small container where you will pour the alcohol, and of course any light shade of nail polish for your base. Here I used Jocarste Nail Polish in No. 36.

Of all my nail art designs, I find this one the easiest to do.

Now, what you will do on your newspaper/magazine is to soak a PIECE of it on the alcohol and press it on your nails for about 15secs, just like putting a 2 pesos worth of tattoo on your body that we used to buy back when we were kids, remember?. Then slowly remove..

And lastly, apply your favorite top coat. Here I used Chic Nail Polish in Regular/Colorless.

Here's the shots of my  'Before and After' I put a top coat.. Find the difference.

                          Before                                                    After

As you can see on the left side, there are white casts on my nails. This is because of the residue of the paper. But after I put a top coat, the white casts seemingly disappear, and the font color also popped out, except my ring finger (my mess!).

That's it!

Why don't you try it on yourself?? It's just easy. Promise!;)

Nails For The Week: Bloody Nail Art

Happy Halloween everyone!

After posting my halloween pictures last night, I am also very excited to show you my nail art for this week.:))

It isn't too late to post right??

I really love how it turns out! The colors I used make it look more real, plus the different nail art technique that I also did.

\

For the blood effect, I used two shades of red, one is cool red and and the other one is dark red so it would look like 3D especially in photos.

The yellowish base color is also perfect for the bloody effect. Since my skin tone is yellow, this nail color suits well on my skin.

For the tools, I used sponge for the gradient/ombre effects, pencil for dotting and dripping, and  tooth pick for dotting and dripping also.

This is just easy.. but the hardest part of putting nail polish is waiting for it to dry or else you'll back to zero, and of course the cleaning part -.- . I used cotton swabs to remove the excess nail polish on the sides of my nails.

That's it :) I hope you like this.

Colors used:
-Caronia in Simply Red
-Chic in Colorless
-Caress in Silent Beauty
-Wet n Wild in Burgundy Frost

Nails for the Week: Paint Drip Nails

The background design has nothing to do with my nail art, the colors are just compliment each other, that's why.

As you can see, It looks like Jelly Fish :)) At first, I have no idea what design to do, I just painted my nails
white and then "bahala na".

If you're wondering how I did this. First is, I dropped a small amount of nail polish directly unto my nails, and then I used a toothpick to make a lines and tails. This is just easy.

Colors Used:
-Caronia in White Satin
-Caronia in Kiwi
-Caronia in Baby Pink
-O.M.G in Colorless

Nails For the Week: Red with a Touch of Sparkles

Hello there! :) My blog's been fairly quiet over the past weeks, but my excuse for being absent is that I was  very busy doing our thesis and preparing for our defense. I also have no time doing my NFTW until I realize that it's almost a month since I updated it. And know, I'm back with a  latest  post.

Honestly, It was not my intention to make this as one of my NFTW, I only painted my nails for the sake of our Final Defense, but since it happened on Sunday, and I made this on Saturday, It was Sunday night that I've decided to make this as my official NFTW (may ganun?! LOL) , Why not ??

Nails For The Week: Ombre Nails

I'm not actually happy with my nails because the design that I like to appear, as well as the color that I used, didn't came up the way I wanted it to be. I guess, I need  a little bit of practice, but at least now I know what to do for the next time.

Ombre Nails is also know as Faded Nails, Gradient Nails, and Shaded Nails. It is the latest trend in Nail Art. Others combine 3-4 colors, but the basic is 2 colors like what I used above.

Polished!

Why hello there!

After being addicted to make up this past weeks and months, I'm now addicted to nail polish ♥ ..

This past week, I started to buy and collect some nail polish, and most of my allowance was spent on it. (LOL).

I don't know how did I got an interest to it, but maybe because of the pictures and videos I've seen and watched, it influenced me.. and also I'm really in love with colors right now.

I have lot's of  Nail Art Ideas to do on my nails and planning to make a new design every week, I like to experiment colors using different techniques.. There are Nail Art Equipment which are being used by some , but I think doing nail art using my bare hands is more fun and artsy than using machines or stamps. Last week, I started to make an album on my Facebook Account  entitled Polished: My Nails for the Week. Here are my first design that I made for the past week.

The colors I used are so cute (My Posh Neon Pink, Wet N Wild Burgundy Frost and Sassy Nail Art Pen in White). My work is kinda messy because I have shaky hands. But I will improve it next time. I'm still in the process of learning..

More nail arts photo to come! :))
